Red Bull Racing driver 'Checo' Pérez was in Mexico sharing his experience in Formula 1, talking about competitors from Latin America in the category, the future of Mexicans in the competition, and the challenges drivers from the region face to stand out in motorsport at a global level.

During his visit before the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix, 'Checo' Pérez emphasized the importance of the new generation of Latin American drivers going to Europe at an early age if they wish to achieve success in Formula 1. He commented on the difficulty and sacrifices involved in being away from home for so many years, but highlighted that it is a necessary path to excel in the sport.

In a press conference, Pérez also shared some recommendations for young drivers who wish to go far in motorsport, emphasizing the importance of persisting and working on correcting weaknesses to progress in their careers. He also mentioned other Latin American drivers who could follow in his footsteps in the future, such as Noel León, Santiago Ramos, and Pato O'Ward.

Regarding his own legacy, 'Checo' Pérez expressed his desire to be remembered as an ordinary person who achieved success in Formula 1, being an inspiration for Mexicans and demonstrating that anything is possible with effort and determination. He dismissed rumors about his retirement and confirmed his participation in the competition until 2025.
